Neon Comet Games Spring 2026 Age of Steam map set:Â
Denmark – Postwar Denmark is rebuilding—and the Danish State Railways are under pressure. The once-fragmented Danish rail system has been consolidated under De Danske Statsbaner, but World War II has left DSB with an aging, exhausted steam-era fleet. Modernization is necessary, but nothing comes easily: money is tight, foreign-currency spending is limited, and new rolling stock is painfully difficult to secure. In Age of Steam: Denmark, players represent competing divisions within the DSB, each vying for the largest share of the state pie. Every improvement must be fought for, and every advance in capability comes at a cost. Higher Links values are limited by the availability of new trains, forcing players to time their upgrades carefully—or risk being left behind as rival divisions claim the scarce equipment needed to expand their reach. Denmark’s geography adds another layer of tension. Sea routes, island connections, national borders, ports, hills, fjords, and coastal approaches all shape the cost and value of your network. With no standard Goods Growth phase, demand emerges directly through delivery, making each route decision feel immediate and consequential. Build efficiently, secure access to the trains you need, and prove that your division deserves priority in the future of Denmark’s national railway system.
Will you guide DSB into the diesel age with discipline and foresight? Or will your rivals claim the trains, routes, and state support before your network is ready?
Pittsburgh Metro – Pittsburgh is a city that refuses to make transportation simple. Steel, rivers, bridges, hills, tunnels, dense neighborhoods, and steep slopes all collide in a metro region where every useful connection feels hard-earned. To build here is not merely to lay track—it is to adapt to a landscape that constantly pushes back. In Age of Steam: Pittsburgh Metro, the city grows around you. New depots emerge as the game unfolds, replacing Towns in a predetermined development order and creating fresh opportunities for connection, commerce, and competition. There is no standard Goods Growth phase; instead, new demand enters the board through the city’s own expansion. Each play presents a different puzzle as the timing and location of new development reshape the value of existing routes. The result is a tight, tactical urban map where careful positioning matters from the very first turn. Players must anticipate growth, secure access to future demand, and build a network flexible enough to profit as Pittsburgh’s transit needs evolve. Tourists, industry, neighborhoods, and new stations all compete for attention in a region where the best route is rarely the easiest one.
Will you master the hills, rivers, and industrial corridors of the Steel City? Or will you watch your rivals turn Pittsburgh’s difficult geography into their greatest advantage?
